Lamardi Gras Parade

Watching the Parade:
The parade begins at the old Fire Department, (224 Hagy) and follows Hagy Dr toward Bois D' Arc, turns right up Bois D' Arc toward the new Fire Department. Parade ends at Seaside Loop and everyone is welcome to head straight on over to the Lamardi Gras site for food, fun, great music and many other activities..
Parade participants:
Parade check-in will be at Estates and Palmetto starting at 8:00 am Saturday morning. We want to limit movement through the staging area due to the judging of the parade so please be checked in before 10:00 a.m. All participants staged by 10:00 a.m. will be entered in the "best of" contest. There are trophies for the "best" golf cart, "best" float (which is described as anything being pulled by a vehicle), and the "best" vehicle. Judging starts at 10:00 a.m. so we can hand out the trophy before the parade starts.
Purchasing Beads:
Participants can purchase Lamardi Gras beads, to throw during the parade, at the Lamar Fire Department. Please call one of the contacts below to set up a time to meet at the Fire Department, 302 Bois d' Arc to purchase beads. Price will be $50 per case. All cases of beads we have left will be available for sale at the check-in Saturday morning.

Directions to Check In:
-North on Hwy 35 crossing Copano Causeway
-First right onto Main Street (at old 7-11). Park Road 13 is also called Main Street.
-About a mile turn left on Palmetto (Intersection with Tree in the middle)
-First left onto Estates Drive where you will see the check-in station
-You will then be directed to your assigned position
